Many of you will be considering engaging in this type of partnership for the first time and will be wondering exactly how it works. Others will be wondering if we are a partner that could better meet your aspirations and objectives than your current provider. The answers below will give you some indication but to truly understand how much value that we can add to your business then do get in touch.

Who are Supportis?

Supportis are the Human Resource experts who offer a comprehensive, fit for purpose service solution tailored to your business. Supportis can help you with your policies and processes, documentation, people culture, employee conflict resolutions and terminations, labour laws, regulation compliance and general HR challenges as well as protecting you from punishing costs. All of this is done with a simple fixed fee model.

How would my relationship with Supportis work after I have signed up?

• You will receive welcome calls and your relationship with your Supportis team commences
• We will work with you to establish your current situation, any issues and  what documentation that you have in place
• You will get a call from one of our HR experts, who will review your information and create a customised plan for bringing your business up to speed. We’ll solve any immediate issues first, then take measures to ensure you are protected against any potential risks
• The Supportis solution – our team will guide you every step of the way and answer every question to make sure you are covered. For example, if you need to discipline a team member, we’ll help craft a meeting script, navigate you through each step of the meeting, complete follow up documentation and ensure that you are protected. Once you join Supportis, we will be available any time of the day to support any future HR needs and you’ll never need to worry about HR compliance again.

When you say “fixed fee, unlimited use”, how does this work commercially?

You sign a service agreement which allows you to use the advice service as often as you like without any additional charges to those included in your agreement. So fixed means fixed, no fair usage clauses, no RPI increases, no hidden clauses. We offer fantastic value for money; why pay expensive legal fees when you can receive the same quality of advice at a fraction of the cost.

What do I actually get for my money?

As well as advice when you need it as often as you need it, you will receive a full drafting service including letters, policies, procedures, tailored contracts and handbooks and a number of additional benefits. You will receive an added value service that benefits your bottom line by managing and supporting you with all your people issues every step of the way. Once I’ve signed up, what happens next?

Your dedicated adviser will spend time getting to know your business so we can identify any problems and give you the Supportis view. In the meantime you can immediately liaise with your adviser on any pressing issues and we will also ask you to send us all existing documentation (contracts, handbooks and policies) so we can start work on ensuring compliance and tailoring them to your business needs and culture.

Do I actually need the insurance you advertise?

The insurance is an extremely cost effective way of protecting your business from legal costs, awards and settlements against you in a tribunal. As long as you follow our advice we will support you all the way and ensure that you do not face punitive awards against you.

How many different people will I have to speak to on various matters?

You will be allocated a dedicated all round expert adviser who will be able to support you on every query. If the adviser is busy at a particular time and you need immediate assistance then you will have full access to their equally qualified team who will have broad knowledge of your business and any previous contact with Supportis.

What happens if my business grows or changes in employee numbers?

We want to support your growth and hope that we can contribute to it. We will maintain our fees at our fixed levels unless there is a substantial and significant increase in your employee numbers. If this is the case we will discuss the matter with you at the time.

If I have an issue with an employee, when do I get in touch with you?

As soon as you can. The earlier you get in touch, the earlier we can help and avoid any situation escalating. Our immediate attention and advice will save you time and effort by doing things correctly and swiftly.

What is the process for claiming on Legal Expenses Insurance?

You do not have to instigate a claim. As long as you are taking advice then we will take care of everything for you.

How tailored will your advice be to my business?

We limit our advice services to particular business sectors so that we can understand the nuances of your business and its operating environment. Our advisers are HR experts and experienced in your type of business so will tailor their advice accordingly. In addition, we give our advice team the time they need to build up a thorough knowledge of your individual business over time.
